SOS Children's Villages -Natasha Smith
A fundraising campaign for SOS Children's Villages.
About This Campaign
Miss Universe Canada and SOS Children’s Villages are working together to help orphaned and abandoned children in Esteli, Nicaragua by providing the educational tools needed for their success.
Your charitable donations will be supporting two specific projects as part of this year’s humanitarian efforts: Digital Community and support for SOS Education.
This will improve the lives of vulnerable children in Nicaragua by providing schools supplies and access to information communication technologies to promote self-sufficiency. These projects will equip children and youth with the skills and experience they need to succeed in school and in their future careers.
Nicaragua is the poorest country in Latin America, with 30 percent of its population living on less than $2 a day. It is estimated that 500,000 Nicaraguan children aged 3-17 are not in the educational system. For many children living in Esteli, Nicaragua, basic school supplies are an impossible luxury.
Every child deserves an education but millions of children around the world are denied this basic right. For children who do have access to education it can mean the difference between a lifetime of struggle and success.
Together we can transform lives and build brighter futures for children around the world. Thank you for your support and generosity!
