A Message From Ridwan Al-Nachawati

"Again, really?". Yeaaaaaa your boy back at it and dumber than ever.

For each combined $100 donated to sponsor a child for a year, I'll share a picture in my spiderman onesie in a different country. Poses will be made based off what's requested by you donors.

Last year, you guys sponsored Leonia in Tanzania and two other children from Peru and Kenya. In October, I got to meet Leonia and her sister, and I haven't stopped thinking of it. She was shy yet full of inspiring spirit. She works hard at school and quietly aspires to succeed.

I vowed that day that I would do everything I could to make sure Leonia was sponsored until she was a working adult. I hope to be a working adult myself soon (working, lol; adult... LOL) and for this to be my last online fundraiser, but such is life as a broke exchange student.

Your donations will go towards funding her food, water, shelter and education for a year through SOS Children's Villages. Through meeting children from all ages and seeing the villages with my own eyes, I'm confident and have full trust in their abilities to foster and develop young children into leaders in each community they touch.

Thanks as always for the support, here's hoping we can do this together one more time.

Shoutout to all the people who pointed out "that idiot with the spiderman pajama on a cliff having a photoshoot".

McMaster Orphan Sponsorship Program

About This Campaign

The McMaster MSA is partnering with various other student groups to spearhead the Orphan Sponsorship Program 2017. We are fundraising to sponsor orphans from around the world this year through a campus wide campaign!

The charity we are working with is SOS Children's Villages, a non-religious and non-political charity that has a stellar international reputation. Additionally, it has schools, orphanages, programs in nearly every country in the world which ensures that this Campaign will be a truly global initiative.  It costs $432 to sponsor a child for one year and $300 to sponsor a village. Each participant can select the location of where their contribution is directed.

Two competitions will be held through Giveffect:
1. Which faculty can raise the most money.
2. Which student club can raise the most money.

We invite you to be part of this great campus-wide initiative!
